He faced it head on and he also lead by example. When we face people problems we need to face them and resolve them rather that ignore them.

Nehemiah 4:9-23 What do you do when the enemy wants to kill you? You pray, adjust your plan and keep working. That is what Nehemiah did. He did not quit and did not give into fear. He instead trusted in the power of God but also came up with a plan to defeat the enemy. Jesus told His disciples to watch and pray. We like Jesus and like Nehemiah need to watch and pray so that we will not give into the temptation to quit.

Nehemiah 4:1-23 - As they began to build the wall the enemies came and opposed them. Not only did they threaten them, they wanted to physically harm them. The truth is there are people who hate it when God's work is prospering. If we are going to finish the work that God has for us we are going to learn how to face opposition.

Nehemiah 3:1-32 Nehemiah was instrumental in getting the project going but he could not do it alone. The people had a mind to work and everyone did their part. The wall was rebuilt in 52 days because everyone worked together. I have heard it said that 20% of the people do all the work in the church. But what if everyone did something? We could do so much more together! How are you putting your hand to the task for the kingdom of God?
