Luke 1:5-25 Zacharias and Elizabeth were very old and they had no children. Yet they were faithful to God. The Bible says that they were blameless walling in God's laws. There are times when we have to be faithful, even though we my not see God's blessing, yet. Pastor Gary encourages us to be faithful in the hard times.

Luke 4:18, 19“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. (gospel) What is the gospel? Jesus stood before His peers and proclaimed that He was fulfilling the prophesy in Isaiah 61, that he was the Messiah, who came to preach salvation. Jesus not only came to preach the gospel, He is the gospel. The gospel message has no power without Jesus being who he is.

David went through a terrible time when his son Absalom rebelled against him. Yet, in all of his pain, he cried out to God who was able to comfort him. He even said he was able to sleep soundly because God was his shield and strength. Psalm 3 shows us that in spite of the trial, even when it happens in our own home, God is out strength.
